We are here to help.

We recognise that many websites exist using free platforms and are operated and maintained by small business owners who have little understanding or ability to improve their websites.

The economic burden in these instances mean that sadly poor sites are not accessible and then potentially a bar to many people with varying disabilities.

By applying for grant funding, it is hoped to grow and provide long term employment opportunities to people within society that is sometimes forgotten and under utilised.

The audit report is provided in order to help and foster improvement with the perspective web platform.

Going forward it is an ambition of MV to create meaningful, sustainable and valued employment and we would like to extend the reach in year 1 to employ 5 people increasing in year 2 to a number yet to be agreed with stakeholders.

This initiative would be a first in terms of the following:

  1. MV believe in people first. Automated testing has its place legally, but people make the difference in determining the accessibility and usability of a site.
  2. MV will produce accessibility audits free of charge to improve the world wide web.

MV will target the following sectors in line with current UK accessibility legislation:

  • organisations that cannot afford auditing
  • government agencies
  • some charities
  • education sector
  • organisations that work with these sectors
  • the Valuable 500 companies
  1. MV will provide professional training.
  2. MV will provide education to enable skill sets.
  3. MV will create meaningful work experiences.
  4. MV will create permanent job opportunities.

MV will develop ambassadorial roles for people to represent the disability community to undertake the following:

  • be a mouthpiece to spread the word about MV
  • to act as liaison between industry and the disabled community
  • to be available for development liaison - developing new technology with disability at the fore
  • to lobby for change in the current legislation that is outdated and not practical.
